The semi-annual PRC Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) Study Program (FREE to all SMPS members) kicks off in October for the March 2027 testing period. Beyond helping you prepare for the CPSM exam, this study group provides SMPS members with meaningful professional dialogue and shared learning across all SMPS Pacific chapters.

Our annual Call for Volunteers is underway for 2026–2027, with opportunities to build your network, increase your visibility, develop new skills, and help shape the programs and experiences our chapter provides. Volunteer or recommend someone who might be interested in volunteering today!

For members looking to invest in their professional development, registration for the annual SMPS Pacific Regional Conference (PRC) opens October 15th. SMPS Sacramento is honoring Marti Martin with the Marti Martin Scholarship (applications due Nov. 6th), which covers the cost of PRC registration and inspires others to learn, grow, and support our marketing community with the same unwavering support Marti demonstrated.

The SMPS Research Subcommittee is currently conducting a People and Culture Survey and they would greatly appreciate our input. Here’s the link to the survey: People and Culture Survey 2026.
It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and it will help identify trends, highlight opportunities to strengthen engagement and retention, and provide leaders with insights to better support their people.
