Volunteering on a committee will build your network, promote your firm, and develop your leadership skills while helping your Chapter provide services and information. | Accommodations Committee |

The Accommodations Committee is responsible for managing attendees through StarChapter, securing a venue for luncheons, coordinating with the hosting facility, preparing and bringing name tags for attendees, speaker, and sponsor table tents, staffing the registration table, and coordinating billing with the Treasurer. | Communications and Website Committee |

The Communications Committee is responsible for communicating the other committees' events, announcements, and activities. This includes maintaining the SMPS website, announcing upcoming events via emails and social media posts, publishing the monthly newsletter, maintaining the Chapter events calendar, library, and job bank, and implementing new media and communication methods to keep the SMPS members and non-members informed of all chapter activities. | Conference Liaison |

The Conference Liaison coordinates SMPS Sacramento Chapter members attending the Pacific Regional Conference and the Build Business national conference. |
| Education Committee |
|
The Education Committee provides our membership with outstanding educational, professional, and personal development opportunities. Educational events include speaker programs, seminars, and workshops. The committee develops a schedule of events, arranges for speakers, and prepares and sends event announcements. | Membership Committee |

The Membership Committee actively promotes SMPS and welcomes new members. This is the unofficial “welcoming committee” and often serves as a new member's first impression of SMPS. The committee responds to inquiries concerning SMPS membership benefits, offers new member orientation, maintains the membership database, and publishes and distributes the membership directory. | Mentoring Pathways |

Mentoring Pathways is a member-only, year-long benefit program that pairs new marketers with senior marketing professionals. This relationship expands peer networks, provides access to a broad range of marketing resources, and serves as a forum to discuss marketing issues. Leadership Pathways is a peer-to-peer learning program for senior chapter members. It is intended to be a collaborative learning experience where you will connect with others, share successes and struggles in a supportive and confidential environment, and discuss best practices. The Special Events and Community Outreach Committee identifies and organizes all Sacramento Chapter Community Outreach activities. These may include volunteer workdays, happy hours, Chapter mixers, charity fundraisers, community service activities, and other efforts as approved by the Board.
