Mentoring Pathways

About the Program

Looking to further your professional growth and development in the Industry? Want to use your years of experience and wisdom to help those coming up behind you? If so, SMPS Sacramento invites you to participate in our chapter’s popular Mentoring Pathways program! You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity!

Mentoring Pathways will connect experienced professionals with aspiring talent of any age or at any stage of their career development in a supportive, one-on-one environment. The goal of Mentoring Pathways is to provide both the mentor and protégé with a rewarding professional relationship that is mutually advantageous.

The Mentoring Pathways program is an embodiment of the commitment of SMPS Sacramento to our members’ personal growth and professional development. As such, participation in Mentoring Pathways is limited to SMPS Sacramento Chapter members in good standing only.

WHAT to expect

We begin the year with a mixer where all Mentors and Protégés have a chance to meet each other. Think professional speed dating. With input from both sides, a little magic -- a spark some might call it -- our pairs are aligned. From then forward, each pairing meets on a regular basis so the mentor can coach the protégé as needed. This one-on-one time is invaluable! Then, every month, the full cohort meets to discuss a single topic, a result of one of the cohort’s very first brainstorming meetings together. No two years are the same! Meetings will be held in person at Harris & Associates (2400 Del Paso Rd, Suite 210, Sacramento, CA 95834) for the 25-2026 Term, with dial-in options as needed.

How to sign up

To keep the intimate nature of the cohort, this program is limited to 24 participants: 12 Mentors and 12 Protégés. Applications will be accepted in order of submission.
