President's Message
SMPS Sacramento recently welcomed representatives of the SMPS Foundation during our State of the Industry event last month. Foundation panelists presented the results of the inaugural SMPS Emerging Trends in A/E/C Marketing and Business Development report, the product of a research initiative between SMPS and FMI Consulting, which captures emerging marketing and business development trends across the A/E/C industry.
Trends highlighted within the research report covered: collaboration as the new currency, the momentum of client experience (CX), and the maturation of marketing and business development.
SMPS Sacramento is proud to support the Foundation's efforts by raising awareness of its research and resources. In addition to spreading awareness of the Foundation, the SMPS Sacramento Board of Directors recently identified the Foundation as one of the nonprofit organizations we plan to support this year with a monetary contribution. This donation supports the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to produce research and actionable insights that directly benefit SMPS Sacramento members.
The Emerging Trends report and other Foundation reports, including the Client Experience in the AEC Industry report, are available to our members for FREE (additional publications are available for purchase). Visit the Foundation’s webpage to explore the free resources available to you. (Please note – you will need to log in using your SMPS password. If you have not logged into the SMPS HQ website since June of 2025, you will need to update your password before accessing the resources from the Foundation.)
